1990s rap star MC Hammer made an appearance at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) event Friday. (Weird, I know). When I saw this story, I immediately called the DCCC to get some more information. Unfortunately Hammer wasn't performing, he went as a guest of a Democratic supporter to the DCCC Race Review, which is a briefing on congressional contests they deem the most competitive.
Hammer told the world about it in a tweet containing his daily schedule:
Top 5 to-do today. 1.Gym 2. DCCC (Pelosi) 3. Lawyers (File Appeal) 4. Enjoy Bay Sunshine. 5. http://beta.twiturm.com/profile/mchammer
And the DCCC thanked Hammer for showing up:

Spokesperson for the DCCC, Andy Card, said that there were no parachute pants anywhere in sight.
